Sharepoint HealthCheck

What if someone tells your or you want do healthcheck up of your MOSS farm? what do you do...whats your step do you just check the sharepoint side or code? or someone says site is slow?

There are series of healthcheck that needs to be done for infratstructure, IIS, Database side..
